Finally Ditch IBS for GOOD!
Your gut is not broken. Your gut brain connection just needs the right TLC. Most popular IBS approaches fail because they do not nurture the gut brain connection.
I help IBS patients find long term IBS relief while diversifying their diets and overcoming food fears.

Step 1: Watch this 30 minute introductory video about Amy Hollenkamp, MS, RD
I made this video for individuals wanting to work with me to highlight my 6 philosophies that set me apart from other providers.
The goals of this video are to:
- Briefly introduce myself
- Highlight why popular IBS approaches don't work
- Summarize my 6 philosophies that guide my IBS care
- Introduce you to my services
Please watch this video before you book a Discovery Call
Step 2: Want to talk to Amy directly? Book a Discovery Call
PLEASE WATCH THE ABOVE VIDEO before setting up a Discovery Call. I find that I have the most success with patients that are aligned with my 6 philosophies highlighted in the intro video.
Discovery calls are usually 20 minutes to determine if we make a good fit. I want to ensure I am the best fit for your case AND I want you to feel confident moving forward as well.
How does my approach differ from other popular approaches?
Most IBS approaches fail to produce long term relief. Why?
I have been working specifically with IBS patients for 8 years and have worked with over 500 patients. Most of my patients come to me with severe life disrupting symptoms. Many have seen several conventional and functional providers making little or no progress before coming to work with me.
I have found that both conventional and functional medicine frameworks fail my patients. You are not broken. The treatment options are broken.
IBS is rooted in gut brain axis dysfunction. This is a fancy way of saying that the gut and brain are not communicating properly. Both conventional and functional approaches don't fully address factors that drive imbalances in the gut brain connection.
The conventional approach is limited and only reduces symptoms without digging deeper into underlying factors driving gut brain axis issues. Usually conventional doctors have 10-15 minutes with their patients and don't have the time/resources to explore diet and lifestyle habits with their patients.
The functional medicine approach sounds good on paper, but is often poorly executed. Many functional providers too often become lost in the weeds. They focus way too much on fancy testing and supplement protocols. They also often recommend extremely strict diets that set my patients back. These diets lead to weight loss, stress, nutrient deficiencies and microbiome changes that further disrupt the gut brain connection. Most of my patients leave functional medicine clinics with massive holes in their pockets and with minimal (if any) symptom improvement.
To find long term IBS relief, you have to nurture the gut brain connection. My approach focuses on using nutrition, lifestyle and supplemental interventions to restore connection between the gut and brain.

Amy was amazing to work with related to my IBS. Her approach is thoughtful, systematic and based on evidence. She listens carefully and makes suggestions that are realistic and beneficial. Amy starts by emphasizing nutrition and digestive capacity so initials changes can happen in a healthy way.
She then helped me look at other changes including supporting a strong brain-gut relationship and food reintroductions. My IBS symptoms have improved significantly from my work with Amy.

I wish I had found Amy at the beginning of my SIBO journey. For 7 years, I had been doing A+ job with a paleo/low FODMAP diet and antimicrobials and was feeling defeated and resigned. I found Amy and felt I had little to lose by trying something different. With her help, I gave up the safety blanket of restrictive eating and began to introduce new foods and ways of eating and supporting my nervous system.
I could not--and would not--have done it without her. My digestive health, peace of mind, and quality of life have improved as a result of our work together. I trust her. She's whipsmart, grounded in science, and empathic in a way that's unique to somebody who has experienced SIBO first-hand.

Amy was the only practitioner that helped me recover 100 percent from the sibo . She was always encouraging, positive, kind, caring , etc . She truly saved my life. She helped me to build my good bugs back up so I could outcompete the SIBO .
If it wasn’t for her , I don’t think I would have ever had my health back . Plus she has a heart of gold and truly cares about the well being of her patients

Working with Amy was worth every penny. How little medical doctors know about repairing and rebuilding the gut is amazing. Amy was able to walk me through several steps of trial and error to determine the best course of treatment to relieve my symptoms.
I felt confident about what she was having me do and her goal was to reduce the number of supplements I was taking, not increase them like everyone else that I had seen! The amount of information that is out there on SIBO and IBS is overwhelming and working with Amy was exactly what I needed to sift through all of that information. I am truly grateful.
